Deltona roofing,
for a city of first roofs.

Deltona began in the early 1960s as a planned community built by the Mackle brothers’ Deltona Corporation and became a city in 1995. Thousands of its homes are single-story concrete-block houses from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, on lots between dozens of small lakes north of Lake Monroe.

Many of those homes are on their second or third roof, and some still have original board decking underneath. A full tear-off is the right time to inspect the deck, fix the ventilation and bring the roof up to current Florida Building Code.

Hi Low is a Florida certified roofing contractor (CCC1332547) and certified general contractor (CGC1529815). We permit through the City of Deltona and install shingle, metal and flat roofing, plus solar and batteries.

Around Deltona

Local knowledge,
roof by roof.

Deltona is about 50 minutes from our office via SR 429, SR 414 and I-4 east.

Concrete-block ranch homes

Long, low-pitched roofs over block walls shed water slowly. Valleys, drip edge and attic ventilation make the biggest difference to how long a new roof lasts.

Second and third roofs

Older homes may have more than one layer of shingles or aging board decking. We tear off to the deck, replace damaged boards and install new underlayment.

Lakes everywhere

Deltona has many small lakes, and lakeside homes see more wind. We check edges and ridges closely on those roofs.

Roofing in Deltona

What’s different
about roofs here.

Storm season

Hurricanes reach inland

Central Florida is inland, but hurricanes still get here. Ian in 2022 and Milton in 2024 both brought damaging wind and flooding rain to the area. Have your roof checked before June 1 and again after any major storm, and keep your inspection photos for your insurer.

Permits

City of Deltona

Deltona issues its own building permits for reroofs and schedules the inspections.

Insurance

Roof age matters

Insurers in Florida look closely at roof age and condition on older homes. An inspection report with photos helps you understand where your roof stands.

Solar

Duke or FPL

Most Deltona homes are Duke Energy Florida customers and some are served by FPL; both follow Florida’s net metering rule. We confirm your utility before we design solar.
